A packed Stettiner Hall audience watched high school seniors perform Oliver Goldsmith’s She Stoops to Conquer. Miss Margaret Stevens led as Mrs Hardcastle with Lucile Markley as Kate, Edwin Ash as Tony Lumpkin, and Deronda Delzell as your Marlowe. The production, staged by the Logansport Dramatic Club, impressed for costumes and realism and signals a likely annual feature at commencement events. The seniors later receive diplomas in a program featuring glee club numbers, an address by Hon. L. E. Brown, and the Bandolero solo, with the graduation class listed in full.

Trenchmen Strike On West Side Sewer for Higher Pay
About seventy five trench workers mainly Italians quit work after lunch in Loganport’s West Side sewer project refusing to resume until a raise from $1.50 a day. Management said they will replace strikers and proceed with those who stay. Mr. Uhl doubts project delay.

Successful Fox Hunt Near Logansport on Burgman Farm
A fox hunt four miles east of Logansport on the Burgman and Schaeter farms ended with one fox captured after a ninety minute chase.
