Engineer Beesley Killed In Rail Crash At Logansport
Panhandle engineer Charles Beesley of Dennison was killed instantly when his head was crushed after leaning from his cab to view a hot box as his train traveled at speed. The accident occurred near Logansport while another Vandalia freight struck him on a curve. He was 90 and a brother in law of Hoy Yeagley. Roy Yeagley and James Yeagley traveled to Dennison for the funeral.
