The Dunn case against Kistler & Kistler is argued in circuit court over a motion for a new trial. Attorneys claim new evidence from Kistlers prior statements could change the verdict, which awarded the plaintiffs $19 after a jury affirmed Judge McGregor's decision.
Indiana prepares charts showing the tuberculosis situation for a State Medical Association meeting at Winona. Dr J N Hurty and clerks drafted the display over weeks with an agenda for a full discussion, featuring Dr Frank Watson of Harvard Medical School and Dr George Grant urging a 100 physician committee for TB legislation. The exhibit will also show laboratory work and TB pathology specimens from the state laboratory of hygiene.
A large gathering of Logansport district Methodist ministers and laymen met at Broadway M E Church to apportion North Indiana conference benevolences and set Presiding Elder H N Hertik’s salary. Minutes from the Alexandria conference were read and allotted to each charge for distribution, with thirty seven ministers represented and all churches present or represented.

While being transported from Camp Meeker to Santa Rosa California two constables, William Martin, drew a vial of strychnine from his pocket and drank it. He told Constable Gilliam not to call a doctor as death neared. He asked for a cigarette, which was rolled and lit, and he smoked calmly before dying.
Warsaw man alleges his demented brother is behind a red flag signaling scheme delaying trains into Logansport. Sheriff Enyart receives a letter from Allen McGowen of Warsaw requesting help to detain the man described as half naked and roaming near the rail lines. The claim cites a newspaper report of hour plus delays and a pattern of disruption affecting local traffic and business.
The Bunker Hill post office was entered just after midnight, a safe blown open and $200 in money stamps and paper stolen. The robbers escaped, leaving a wrecked safe. no clues found. Police monitor possible Vegermen suspects as a local mystery. Separately, Wayne Rhodes, fourteen, has been missing since Friday after leaving home for a glass factory job.
Police say they have learned the identity of the youths who injured Special Park Policeman William Kelley, 73, at Riverside Park. Arrests will follow.

Mrs Flora I Sells travels to Big Lake Minnesota and is reported to marry Frank A Jamison a wealthy farmer. Friends say they met at the St Louis fair and started correspondence that led to marriage. Mrs Sells is a dressmaker living at 511 Fourteenth Street. Her daughter Myrtle will stay at home until school closes.
Everett Kellam, recently declared insane, entered a telegraph office at Andrews West of Huntington and began sending garbled calls, tying up the Wabash system from Logansport to nearby lines. Operators struggled until two men helped secure Kellam and he was jailed in Andrews.
Henry Runner of Amaqut township and his Greene county son left Tuesday morning for their new home at Dickey North Dakota Pilot Mound Monitor reports.

At 3 pm the Broadway church hosts Logansport High School 1906 graduates for the annual baccalaureate by Rev Hellopeter. First Baptist hosts St John Commandery Knights Templar Ascension Day service at 7:30 pm with Dr Mainwaring preaching.
William B. Schwartz a 49 year old Indianapolis lawyer confessed to making counterfeit half dollars to support his family after his income fell due to his wife’s illness. He was arrested in his office with high quality coins and molds found there. He asked for mercy, citing poverty, and awaits grand jury action after potential plea before Commissioner Moores.
Charles Albin, an employee of Martin Bligh at a wholesale liquor house on Third Street, endured a painful accident at 2 39 this afternoon. While handling beer kegs his left index finger was crushed at the first joint and he sought treatment at Dr. O Leary’s office.

A morning wreck near the Soldiers' Home in Lafayette involved two loaded traction cars carrying veterans and their wives. At least fifty were injured, with several in dire condition as the northbound car’s motorman lost both legs. No Logansport residents were reported among the injured.
E. C. Vaughn of Bluffton urged raising saloon licenses to 500 dollars at a Marion convention. He plans to push the resolution at the state gathering and seek a seat on the resolutions committee to influence its adoption. The proposal limits saloon establishments to towns with police protection and aims to eliminate road houses by filtering out less responsible operators.
State Statistician Joseph H. Stubbs reports Indiana taxable property at 1 578 132 946 with farm land and improvements at 951 286 101 and city property at 490 256 784.98. Town property stands at 663 881 444.46 and outlying non classified property at 172 708 15.56. The general fund for 1965 is 4 8337 836.85 with a 12 cent per 100 tax rate. Farm property bears 56.7 percent of the tax burden.
Teachers and thirty pupils from Logansport Commercial College went to Muncie this morning to attend the 11 o clock funeral of Carl Friend, a former popular pupil of the school.
