Lightning Strikes Three In Rockton Church
In Rockton Illinois yesterday three churchgoers were struck by lightning during a Methodist service. Mr. and Mrs. E J Pollock and Mrs Edward Shotliff survived though severely burned and clothing torn. Mrs Shotliff was thought dead but revived by a doctor. The bolt entered via a chandelier and the church suffered no structural damage.

Woman driven to insanity over $7000 dot puzzle

Incendiary Fire Destroys James Mummy Barn and Stock
A late night blaze on the James Mummy farm three miles south of town destroyed a large barn with four horses, twelve hundred fifty bushels of corn, five tons of timothy hay, and other goods valued around 1800 dollars.
