Two Teens Die After Night Train Hit buggy Near Galveston
Elgy Houser aged 16 and Claude Griffin aged 15, farmers, were struck by a Panhandle passenger train just southeast of Galveston while driving home in a top buggy. Houser died instantly, Griffin died later at Kokomo. The engineer suspects the pair slept, as the horse and buggy were torn apart and the lines were found tied to the whip. An inquest is held in Kokomo.

Library Plans Perfected for R Y M C A Circulating System
Preparations for the full installation of the R Y M C A circulating library are finished. Secretary McCracken will start work on the Chicago division tonight, joining the Richmond and State Line divisions already in operation. Of 65 telegraph operators addressed, 62 favor the scheme with 29 on Bradford, 10 on State Line, and 23 on Chicago. Three did not care for the service and four did not respond. The "endless chain" system is expected to do much good and operators are pleased with the new plan.
