A fire in the old Pratt property barn between Ninth and Tenth on Market streets at 4 PM yesterday gutted the interior and spread to nearby structures. Sparks ignited Mrs. D C Justice’s house, another nearby residence, and Frank Harley’s home at 1116 Market. Overall losses run about 200 dollars as departments battled multiple blazes and flying embers.

The Logansport Tennis Club restricted membership to thirty after 41 members met last evening. The club will buy new balls to reduce member costs, start court cleaning soon, and begin play immediately after.
MarionLogansport Traction promoters press for another conference on a city entrance route. They proposed six options but the board refused Market and North streets, settling on a South Side route west on Main to Burlington Avenue. The board will review a new proposition but will not grant on Market or North streets.
Foresters gathering in South Bend selected the 1909 convention site after a well attended meeting. W W Wilson was re elected high secretary and Frank Kistler named high consular. Other officers include J K Risk chief ranger John A Hartman vice chief ranger Frank Airey high treasurer Dr A Cox high physician and auditors Thomas Kestler and John H James.
Arthur Allen, colored, arrested at Dunkirk yesterday afternoon and arraigned before Judge Smith today on a charge of taking part with James Moman in a local Patt Laporti robbery. Bound over to the circuit court, he remains jailed in default of bail as officers seek another suspect on the same charge.
The Vandalia railroad sold passenger engine No. 305 to the St. Joseph Valley Railway company. The engine was repainted and renumbered and sent yesterday to La Otto where the new road took possession.
Mr and Mrs Frank Swigart of this city announce their son Charles E Swigart a U S Army paymaster clerk has married Miss Louise Koenler Heupel of Baltimore The notice notes the alliance as a family telegram from Baltimore and gives no further details
The team elected Frank Mc Hale as manager and James Smith as captain after an after school meeting. They plan a game with Royal Center high school soon and will arrange future contests with Kokomo Peru Star city and other nearby towns.
Harvey Wilson the park custodian asked the board for guidance as forty five boys played on Riversiie park grass. The board approved limited play and aims to open the park to city youth with no harsh rules, possibly setting an age limit for baseball.
