Clarence Hockett and 15 year old Earl Herzog fled Wallace Circus from Peru Indiana to Dayton Ohio then tried returning home. Police found them in Richmond Indiana after a day with no food. They claimed poor pay and rations, were fed by police, and returned home grateful for the help. Herzog spoke for the pair about promised wages and a bonus.

Will Organize a Canoe Club in Eel River Area

Wild Windmill Farmer Dies After Mansion Fire and Flight
Henry Bierman of near Galveston went insane and set fire to his house trapping his wife. She escaped after locking herself in a room, while Bierman climbed a windmill and fought officers before being captured. He died in Indianapolis of pneumonia from his ordeal.
