Jim McElhaney a plasterer fought with four officers when police tried to seize his tobacco stock at the station. He pleaded that being jailed without tobacco was as good as being killed and finally was jailed after a struggle.
Foreign and local attorneys appear before Judge Lain in the Cassecicnit court for two suits against insurers. Geo W Michael vs Glen Falls Insurance and Yeagley vs Security Insurance of New Haven. Out of town lawyers Whitlock Cox Anabal Chambers join local representatives as demurrers argued. no decision yet.
Dora Hutchinson by McConnell Jenkines Jenkines Stuart filed for divorce from Stewart Hutchinson citing abandonment. The couple separated in 1900 and the plaintiff has resided on Fourth Street since.

A cyclist left a wheel stand on Twelfth Street last night and after midnight a police officer moved the bike to headquarters to guard it. By morning no one had claimed the bicycle.
A fifteen year old baseball squad from Logansport has organized with George Ammon ts as manager and Deibert Lee as captain. The team, in gray uniforms with Boston caps, will host Georgetown at Spencer Park on Sunday, aiming for a win.
A Camden Expositor report outlines Carroll County telephone development. Burrows has a free system with over a hundred phones anticipated. Rockfeld plans about sixty subscribers to reach the hundred mark with a central office. Deer Creek crews prep for June 1 use with eighty charter members. Dr. J. H. Shultz, by attorney W. T. Wilson, sues Mrs. Mary Vernon for $106.50 in medical fees. The defendant contends the services were rendered at her instigation.
The Logansport Home Amusement association contracted with Ferrari Carnival company to hold a week of summer sport in the last week of August. They aim to surpass last year's shows with a new production, and proceeds will fund a new Elks home.

Physicians report more mumps and measles cases than ever before. Two measles deaths reported and several dangerous cases. German measles often lead to subsequent mumps.
R D Hunt of Egypt, a former resident, returned to Logansport yesterday after an eighteen year absence. Pleased with Logansport’s flourishing appearance, he plans to move his family here and make it his home.

Several representatives of the American Steel and Wire company traveled through the city in their special coach yesterday afternoon on an inspection tour en route to Joliet.
Mr Magee of a former heating company discusses investigations by experts hired to assess a proposed hot water heating plant in Logansport. They found exhaust heat from the light plant nearly useless, estimated a $75 000 cost for a district system, and warned against municipal debt and unconstitutional reach.
