Royal CentreInd May 7 The Kidd Thomas provocation case was dismissed by Justice Kistler after a dispute between Sam Thomas and John Kidd escalated to a warrant. A later calm led to dismissal. Detective Sanders of Logansport visited, Mrs Maggie Patton of Logansport went to Star City for a field meet, and Will Boose visited from Logansport. Will Tanguy of Vandalia at 605 West Market Street pulled a three year old girl from danger on Panhandle tracks on Wednesday afternoon as an engine sped toward her. The child’s parents at 621 West Market Street are Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Guinup.
The grand jury finished its labors and returned eight indictments. Joseph Ke Milburn faces two indictments for the slaying of Vincent Hermann, Charles Pierce is charged with shooting Patrolman Kroeger, and others are unnamed. Minnie Chesser was arrested on a perjury bench warrant and is out on 200 dollars bonds. Some indictments may involve sources of liquor for boys and possible renewed juror action in the Grover case.
Fulton County voters upheld dry status for two more years with a countywide dry majority of 1627. Rochester cast 770 dry and 535 wet, the strongest wet showing anywhere. Overall turnout reached about 4220, with rain delaying but not altering totals.

Miss Lesta Stroud aged 23 former Twelve Mile resident and Arthur Stitt of Indianapolis were found unconscious after ingesting carbolic acid. Stroud and Stitt died shortly after discovery.
A severe electrical storm hit the city last evening bringing lightning rain and hail. The storm caused extensive damage across the county with many reports of structural harm and disrupted services.
