A rear collision eight miles west of Huntington on the Fort Wayne and Wabash Valley line destroys the Kenilworth limited car. Motorman C. S. Murphy is killed and motorman N. K. Smith survives after leaping clear. Twenty to thirty passengers are badly shaken while injuries include Mrs. Walter Percival of Kokomo who loses four front teeth.

Explosion at Heating Plant Tears Through Furnace Doors
A steam furnace explosion at the J W Ballard building on Market Street caused doors to burst free and coal to scatter the room. Firefighters extinguished the blaze with chemicals after water pipes burned. Minor smoke damaged Pelion millinery and a kitchen roof fire caused about twenty five dollars in damage at Panhandle Engineer Dick Richardson's home.

Cleveland investors profit from Muneice Hartford & Ft. Wayne sale
A Cleveland dispatch reports the Muneice Hartford and Fort Wayne Traction company was sold last week to the Elkins-Widener syndicate. Stockholders may claim payments at the Guardian Savings and Trust office on Superior Street. Shares sold at 45 each, distributing about 450000 to stockholders, with roughly 300000 going to Cleveland holders and the rest to Indian stockholders. Distribution is expected in a few days as holders respond.
