Youth Arrested in Brass Theft from Local Factory
Albert Koons fourteen year old son of Nathan Koons of 412 Pratt street held in $200 bond after preliminary hearing for grand larceny. He stole forty dollars worth of brass from the West Side stave factory and sold it to Fidler the junk dealer on Sixth Street. Detective Morgan identified the brass upon a sale attempt and alerted the police. Mose Ward arrested for theft of carpenter tools from George Morrow. Ward, recently back in Logansport after two years away, admits stealing tools with Jim Nealis. Nealis yet to be arrested. Ward’s preliminary hearing set for Monday.

Fifty received extra study periods, twelve were suspended for three days and faced a choice between permanent suspension or obedience to rules.
