Robert P. Gibson died Tuesday night at his home in Bur netsville west of Logansport on the State Line division. Known as the oldest resident, he helped build the Wabash Erie canal earning a place in local history. He voted in Jackson township’s first election in 1834 and was a voter in eighteen presidential elections. He died at age ninety three.
