Two Morning Fires Endanger Homes and Lumber Mill
The fire department answered two morning calls. At Biddle's Island a spark from a passing engine ignited dry grass and rubbish, endangering nearby homes. At noon a lumber shed at the Bligh planing mill caught fire from an engine spark, quickly checked before it consumed dry lumber.

Harris McBetty an heir petitioned the circuit court to block probate, estate valued at 20000 dollars, McBetty alleges influence and mental incapacity. Hiram White suit against Panhandle Railroad settled with judgment of 250 dollars for White. Robert Roller arrested on assault complaint by Milford Rupe, to stand trial next Wednesday.

Bank sues Shaw and Sheets over note for 115 dollars
The First National Bank filed suit in circuit court against Eli Shaw and Charles Sheets seeking 115 dollars on a promissory note.
