Oney Carroll Released Then Reoffends In Quick Backslide
Oney Carroll was freed from the county jail yesterday morning after a sixty day sentence for intoxication and five hours later returned to jail on another intoxication charge. He spent seventy five cents earned from acting as prosecutor of a kangaroo court on booze, slept in another man’s room, fell down stairs, and was found by a police officer. Sheriff Enyart refused to feed him and he was later sentenced again to sixty days with potential medical sanity examination by a commission to follow. Prosecutor Walters says he believes Carroll is insane and intends to have him examined for possible confinement at Lonegeliff.
