Amputation Necessary for Miss Lambert after Accident
Miss Lambert of the San Toy opera company, injured in a St. Paul theater fall, has had a leg amputated. The injury ends her stage career and a $30,000 damages suit is filed against the St. Paul opera house manager. The San Toy company is now in New York.

Thieves Take Four-Year-Old Horse From Montraville Sim mons Stables
A four year old horse valued at 160 dollars was stolen Saturday night from the stables of Montraville Simmons, a colored farmer on the old Watts farm four miles west of the city along the Wabash river. Detectives report neighbors alerted and hope for recovery. the horse was driven east to the Vandalia railroad bridge then plunged into the river to mislead pursuers. The animal weighs about sixteen hundred pounds with four white feet and a star.
