Building boom on in earnest as city issues six permits
The Board of Works issued six building permits this morning signaling a building boom in earnest. Five residences were planned across Heath's addition Seventeenth Street Broadway Fourteenth Street North Street and two men planned a glazed brick garage on Eel River Avenue. Water main extensions were approved on Seventeenth and Fourteenth streets. Rates for two laundry and water pressure concerns were discussed with proposals to adjust charges. Fire hose transfer and a property deed completed add to the day’s actions.

Disturbed Church Meeting Leads to Fines in Walton Court
Clyde Bowyer of Tipton township pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace in Judge John Wendling's Walton court. Bowyer was fined $1 and costs after a reported fight with Arthur Wilson. Charles Bowyer, the sexton of Pipe Creek Christian church, also charged his other son Owen Bowyer with racing on a public highway. Owen was fined $5 and costs after a claim he raced to church with Carl Shaff.
