W H Dunkin says three battle flags captured by the Forty-Sixth Indiana at Memphis in 1862 St Charles Arkansas in 1862 and Small Lake Iowa in 1863 are now held by the city public library. The large 8 by 16 foot banner was raised atop a 100 foot pole at the Memphis wharf before being captured.
