Mary Gaghyan identifies Christ Hartwick as the assailant who knocked her to the ground on Erie avenue. She says Hartwick wore distinctive hat and clothes and admitted placing the injury on a street car. Hartwick denies the attack. prosecutors plan grand jury scrutiny.
Mary Tilley of a nearby farm was jailed after she used a Broadway business phone to mockingly solicit dates from about six men. Judge Smith ordered her to return to the countryside under threat of a 30 day county jail term.
Lewis Sewing was named defendant in four suits filed in Judge Hana Walt's court this morning. Carl Rees administrator of the Kreuzberger estate seeks 125 dollars on a note. Frank G. Tullidge demands 30 dollars on account. Crigler and Crigler seek 125 dollars on account. Rex Jetters Co. demands 10 dollars on account.
Robert Davidson was granted a divorce from Grace Davidson in circuit court this morning. He testified that while he worked, his wife entertained other men and habitually drank to excess. Grace Humphrey was her maiden name before marriage.
Reports say Judge D Dykeman is weakening after a paralytic stroke. Friends doubt a serious illness but note he suffers from the recent stroke compounded by a grip attack.
Ed Truax, street commissioner, swore an affidavit accusing August H. Miller of running a gambling joint at his Columbia street bicycle shop where youths played poker during winter. Miller pleaded guilty and was fined ten dollars plus twenty in costs.
George Mullendore was arrested by Sheriff Enyart for failing to file bonds during an appeal in police court. He promptly obtained the required bond and was released.

The Pennsylvania New York and Chicago eighteen hour train passed Logansport this afternoon at 30 o clock. It stopped ten minutes at Panhandle station en route to Chicago. The Columbus division transported the train due to a washout near Pittsburgh. Five Pullman cars, engines and crews were changed here.
Philip Neusbaum a worker at the Seventeenth street power station had his right foot crushed yesterday afternoon when a heavy electric motor fell on it. Several bones were broken and he was removed to his home.
The will of Ewzene LaRean who died recently is probated. the widow Julia LaRean receives all, and the children share equally after her. The will of Fred Osmer, who died in the west, is probated. his widow receives all his property.
