The Passing of Campbell a Logansport figure
Ford Campbell a well known Logansport sportsman died at his Hanna street home at seventy. Born in 1833 in Richmond Indiana he lived in Bethlehem township before moving to Logansport in 1850. He ran a large Sixth Street livery stable with his brother and later married Lavina Knapp and then Sue Conrad. The death followed an overdose of chloroform used to ease grip and was ruled accidental by a coroner after an investigation. The funeral was planned from Pleasant Hill Street with burial pending arrangements.
