Representatives from independent telephone interests across the United States will gather at the Auditorium hotel in Chicago in June 2022 for the National Interstate Telephone Association convention. The merger of the National and Interstate associations will be completed at this event. Ice Box Heist Marred Wedding Celebration

At the DeHar t home in Ninth street guests gathered for Florine DeHart and Claude Westernman’s marriage festivity but the ice box was found open and the ice cream freezer missing. Neighbors’ boys were blamed as the heart shaped cream and other delicacies vanished, leaving guests hungry yet amused by the incident. The freezer later aroused in a nearby ally with crumbs nearby.

Lillie Lowery of this city was arrested on charges of malicious trespass by her separated husband, a Wal ton-area farmer. The court found her not guilty, ruling she was not trespassing while seeking her rightful property, including her wedding ring.

Four-Year-Old Narrowly Escapes After Buggy Fall

Ethel Wakeland, four, fell from a chair aboard a buggy after her mother and neighbor let her ride and paddle in a creek. The rear wheel passed over her chest and arm as the buggy crossed tracks on Broadway near Sixth Street. She was rushed to Turman's, found to have no broken bones, and showed no obvious internal injuries.
