First Wreck on Logansport Line Destroys Bonding Machine
A special car No 211 on the Logansport and Lafayette line backed into an open switch at Rockfield last evening and struck a bonding machine used in construction, demolishing the machine and severely damaging the car rear. The car carried a Rockfield band crowd from Delphi to the concert destination. After unloading, the car moved forward and hit the switch, derailing the train. Wreck crew from Boyd Park cleared the site. another car ferried passengers back to Delhi.

Three machines stopped for repairs and gasoline. They reached Chicago last night and head south to Peru where local motorists will greet them Monday.

In Royal Center a boarding house owned by Mrs Gruell was pelted at night with overripe fruit aimed at Mrs Shaffer the divorced wife of Ora Shaffer. Squire Kistler said town residents suspect the attacker but offered no comment. Shaffer claims she is the wife of William H Bingaman a hardware dealer in Winds but Bingaman denies the marriage. She had previously been seen entering Bingaman's home and a brick was hurled through a window before her divorce. An officer followed her in the city last Sunday.
