Electrocution Fatality on Fulton Michigan Corner
Ernest Redinger a Home Telephone cable splicer was electrocuted while testing wires on a pole at Fulton street and Michigan avenue. A cross of 2300 volt high tension and telephone lines caused the deadly contact. the body hung for forty feet above the ground as responders cut power and lowered him. Mary Hieber witnessed the tragedy and described flames and agony in detail.
