Aged Woman Burned Saving Home in Lamp Accident
Mrs. Hannah Miller, aged mother of Mrs. P. J. Schrader, was severely burned about the face, neck and hands last night while lighting a lamp in her apartment. She carried the flaming lamp outside to save the house, but her clothing caught fire. Neighbors helped extinguish the flames before the fire department arrived. Wreck on Panhandle injures none as trains derail
Monday afternoon a collision occurred on the Panhandle at Dunkirk when engine 8313 struck the caboose of a train drawn by 8515. Despite the number thirteen appearing on both locomotives no serious injuries were reported. The caboose and two cars plunged off a steep embankment. the wreck train was summoned and repairs took hours.
