No More Free Rides On Cars Ends at City Lines
Notice posted by Superintendent L A Battenburg prohibits riders living near end of car lines from riding to the end and back downtown for a single fare. Residents on East End and other lines previously used this shortcut especially in cold weather. The policy now bars rides from Fifteenth Street to Twenty-Sixth Street and downtown for one fare, stopping one block from the end of the line.
