Royal Centre Indiana reports a mass rabbit hunt sparked by a preacher’s tale of “Fluffy Ruffies” and a driving gunfire that left most rabbits dead. Townspeople joined with hunting dogs, some rifles unused since the war, as injuries and social notes fill the day’s lingering chatter.
The Young People's Dramatic Club of St Bridget's parish brings back the Deacon in Elks Hall tonight due to larger capacity. Proceeds benefit the Elks charity fund and last performance drew strong attendance from those who saw the holiday staging.

Charles Woolford sues Charles Marquiss for thirteen turkeys valued at about $19 while costs and attorney fees may reach $200. Word arrived of the death of Mrs. Josephine Taylor in Peru this morning. A former resident, she was fifty nine years old. Remains will be shipped tomorrow for burial.

Word reaches Washington township of James McMath death in Raton New Mexico on December 9 1908 He formerly lived in Washington township and moved to New Mexico for health reasons six or eight years ago He leaves a valuable 120 acre farm in the township where he formerly lived.

Ed Lowe of Fulton gathers a hunting party to capture a large farm rabbit that reportedly defies dogs and guns. A prior chase with seven men ended with the rabbit escaping after shots and fast dogs. Lowe plans a larger hunt, likely ten to twelve hunters, with local friends and dogs, date yet to be fixed.
The Independent Order of Foresters will hold their annual installation of officers Thursday evening in their hall. A banquet follows after installation. The arrangements committee led by Will Tangy has prepared a brilliant event for the ridge circles and all members are expected to attend.

Kinney was found guilty after a week long circuit court trial in Lafayette Indiana. The jury convicted him on circumstantial evidence alone with no direct testimony and sentenced him to ten to twenty years. Detective Reno testified Kinney is a dangerous criminal and highlighted Kinney’s prior prison records.
A detective frame of Murphy and Fleming notes a small thief deduced from three pairs of physician trousers found at the scene. The suspect allegedly tried them on and discarded them. The detective offers no explanation for how the deduction was made.
Cresééntcn members and their partners plan a bob ride to Daniel Drill’s home four miles north of the city this evening. They will bring oysters for a feast prepared upon arrival.
James Yerkes filed suit against Rank Williams in circuit court seeking payment on a note for 150 dollars. The action centers on a debt the plaintiff claims is owed and requests judgment for the amount plus costs.
