Clarence Sherer son of ice cream maker W I Sherer fell onto the moving ice chain at the top of the endless chain used to haul ice to the ice houses. His clothing snagged in a sink and he was raised toward the top. He was rescued by workers and suffered only a slight bruise.
The Superior Stereopticon Company earns charter and will mass produce an inventive stereopticon in Flora Indiana. Rev He Goodacre, inventor and pastor, resigns to become business manager. Capitalization 12000 dollars. W E Callane president Rev J W Coombs vice president George E Ressi director. Experts call the machine a wonder.
Mark Bell had John Morrissey and James Glenn arrested for attempting to defraud a boarding house. They had been released on promise to leave town but returned and occupied another man's bed. Edward Brice received fifteen days for intoxication after an arraignment and bail terms.
Prof Turner resigns as science instructor at Logansport high school and departs today for Connersville to assume the principalship of the new school. The resignation was not yet recorded by the local board.
A new high school building at Connersville will be dedicated during the holidays. A professor will assume on the ground floor as the project progresses and Indianapolis will precede his charge of the new position.
Separated for years Chris Gugle of Le Roy Michigan meets his siblings Will Gugle Lakeville George Gugle White County and Sarah Durkess Rochester at the funeral of their sister Mrs John Kies in a very emotional gathering.

A Wabash train derailed in the Andrews yards yesterday afternoon around two. Two freight cars left the tracks and were moved to a siding to clear the main line. No injuries are reported and the cause is under investigation.
Officers elected last June will be re elected for the coming year extending their term to a year and a half. Sheriff Beckley and Mark I Brown escorted John Meeks to Jeffersonville. Meeks received a two to fourteen year sentence in the Reformatory for assault with intent to rob an Italian fruit vendor at the Wabash railroad yard.

Frosty Jane Kiser two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Alfred Kiser died yesterday at 7 a m at the family home in Clinton township. The funeral services were held today at 12 30 p m at the residence with interment at Ebenezer cemetery. Clara B Hawke infant daughter of James A Hankee died this morning at 3 o'clock at the residence 901 Fourteenth street. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 p m at the home Rev Walter Johnston officiating with interment at Mt Hope. This is the little one whose mother died a few weeks ago.
Tom Warnick of the West End foundry tested a repaired auto that escaped and sped two blocks down Wheatland streets. He regained control but suffered a severe bruise to his arm as a memento of the incident.
John Sowers and Charles Martin railway mail clerks from this city were in a wreck at Eureka Junction Illinois on Saturday when their train collided with a Santa Fe freight. They were thrown to the ground but not seriously hurt.
The Wabash pay car visited the city yesterday delivering currency to the railway employer for Christmas payroll.

In Cass circuit court three defendants faced sentencing after Sheriff Beckley brought them in. William Burkett, a Detroit bridge carpenter, admitted larceny at M J Rafter’s saloon and received thirty days plus a ten dollar fine. he claimed two days of drinking and that a friend urged theft. Mohammed Mostafa, a Johnston hotel porter, was arraigned for assault and battery and had his case postponed awaiting key witness Pryor’s return. court noted language barriers in the testimony. Elbert Webb pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to thirty days and a ten dollar fine for attacking Nettie Frick, with the full docket read aloud to the crowded dock.
Charles Wood, present with Bur kett during the money theft from M. J. Rafter, tried to plead guilty to the same charge this afternoon. Judge Larry found discrepancies in his testimony, so Wood did not testify as before and was sent back to jail. Prosecutor Walters expects Wood to receive punishment. Mohammed Mostrafa was arraigned again for trial, with County Attorney Fickle appointed to represent him.
