Middleton New York December 21 James Nicholas Vann of Mount Hope claims he has wed fourteen wives in his 100 years with Martha Maria Vann his latest spouse who died recently. The funeral will be held beside the family plot near their home. Vann born April 22 1807 has served as body servant preacher doctor and lawyer for Orange County figures and once published a biography. his many children are all believed dead. He and Martha lived in a small house with him as her second husband most recently.
South Bend Indiana reports Fred A Shotwell aged 30 and Emma Shotwell aged 71 announced their marriage after a four month secret. The ceremony occurred at Potterville Midh on November 16 making Emma the stepgrandmother of the groom.
