The arrival of pay cars spurred unprecedented activity at the local post office yesterday with a record 200 money order receipts including 22 foreign orders. Total sales reached 432 dollars, and 184 parcels and letters were registered as the building stayed busy from morning to night.

Examiners Arrive to Inspect County Recorder Books

Field examiners W. A. Lewis of Elwood and F. H. Taylor of Knox arrived to audit the records of the St. Joseph County recorder in South Bend.
