Eckie Cahill Arrested After Alleged Assault on Mother

Eckie Cahill, arrested on complaint of his mother for beating her, was released this morning after arraignment when she refused to prosecute. Neighbors called police as Cahill returned home intoxicated and began a disturbance, throwing dishes and assaulting his mother.

Retiring township officers met yesterday morning in John Sinneman's office as fourteen new trustees prepared to take office January 1. Charles Mode Taken Home From Hospital

Charles Mode a Panhandle blacksmith badly injured by a flying steel piece two weeks ago was moved from St. Josephs hospital to his home on Nineteenth street. Though not well, he can have his wound cared for at home. The forehead gash will leave a lasting scar and his left eye appears uninjured.
