Farmer killed as engine moves goods to Michigan
William Lincoln a 35 year old farmer living near Lucerne was killed while loading household goods onto a freight car bound for Michigan. The engine backed into the car throwing Lincoln against the side and breaking his neck. John Freshour and Ivan Beatty assisted. Dr. A L Palmer coroner summoned. Funeral at Zion M E church Sunday at 11 conducted by Rev Davis. Interment in adjoining cemetery. Lincoln is survived by his widow and mother.
