Howerton Re Arreste d on Mutated Money Charge
W H Howerton, already jailed on a mutilated money charge after returning from Lafayette, was re arrested this afternoon on a warrant by Captain Hall US secret service. Bond set at 500 by United States commissioner C H Stuart, with Howerton seeking funds from his Philadelphia-based brother. Charged with passing mutilated coins at the Barnett hotel and Hop Kee's Chinese restaurant.
