New Theatre to Be Named by Town Contest
The new Third Street theatre, owned by J. M. Elliott and managed by Frank Shafer, will open by January 1 with an in-house naming contest. Mutilated coin case prompts federal warrant for Howarth
William H Howarth of St Louis arrested for passing mutilated coins in Indianapolis. He posted $200 bond paid by himself and failed to appear. A lead dollar and a plugged foreign coin were recovered at police headquarters and at the Barnett hotel. If Howarth misses the Monday hearing the bond may be forfeited with ten percent plus $10 to the prosecutor.
