George Bliss and party narrowly escape death after an automobile with six occupants rolls down a 10 foot embankment. Police report the crash occurred on an unfamiliar road with minor injuries across the group.
Last night a car carrying George Bliss Claude Wise Eugene Wise and Eugene Wheeler left the roadway on the Michigan Pike near the street car line. The vehicle toppled down a ten foot embankment in dark muddy road conditions. All occupants escaped serious injury though Wheeler was trapped by a bent steering wheel and the top crushed. The party rode to Rochester earlier and returned home aided by North Side street car crew. Estimated repair costs reach 200 dollars.
C. . Englert of this city who went to Wynn Arkansas for a railroad post has written to local Panhandle staffers about excellent railroad work opportunities. Some aim to move West next spring and likely settle in that region.

Isaac Reed of Logansport Ice and Cold Storage was thrown from his wagon at Tenth and Erie when the wagon caught on interurban tracks. Reed was dragged before the team stopped and suffered a broken right wrist and a sprained left back. Dr Ballard treated the injuries and he will be unfit for duty for some time.

Wagon driver Wiler Remmell of O'Donnell reported a team and wagon missing yesterday afternoon after leaving the baggage wagon at Wabash depot. The horses wandered off while he was in the station and later reappeared at the barn.
Mrs. Mary Shockome of Humphrey street telephoned police this morning to remove her husband Antonio Shockome. The patrol wagon found him drunk lying on the floor and he was jailed.
Reward of 500 dollars is offered for the capture of Jim Baker after the murder of Eugene Courtney near Waukesha Wisconsin several weeks ago. Sheriff Enwart received a letter stating the bounty and that the suspect is headed toward the area.
Colfax residents Colfax RBenefield and Lemuel Earle were jailed briefly and fined in Judge Graves' court for hunting without a license. Unable to pay, and with large dependent families, they were released after sentencing.
