Royal Centre Indiana August 18 news reports an eleven year old girl, daughter of Andrew Thompson, fell from the second story into the basement through a twenty inch chimney opening. She is seriously injured but improving. doctors will decide on recovery prospects in a day or two. Nearby, James L. Thomas suffered a heart attack while hunting, was believed dead, but quickly recovered and returned home.
Irwin Cordell, a Bee Hive porter, halted a runaway team pulling the Zanger bakery wagon on Broad Way. He rushed from his post when the horses bolted with no driver, grabbed the bridled team at the bridge, was knocked off his feet, and ultimately stopped them to prevent harm to pedestrians.
Controller of Currency Murray in Washington issued a certificate enabling the First National Bank of Ambia to commence business with a capital of 25000 dollars. Officers are Will J. Lawson president James F. Yeeman vice president and William Randall cashier. The bank replaces Baldwin and Dague in control.
