Death of James Bussard Veteran Expressman
James Bussard, a 75 year old veteran expressman who lived in the city for nearly 35 years, died of heart trouble at the home of Mrs. Julia Coppock this morning at 7 20. He had worked for Adams Express Company except for the last few years when illness forced retirement. He became unconscious while in an out house and died after medical aid failed. The body was moved to Kroeger and Strain's undertaking parlors. funeral arrangements were not set.

Riot by youths at DeVault wedding residence
During the marriage ceremony at Strander DeVault’s North Sycamore Street home, a mob of youths around seventeen years old began a riot.
