Moncie Feb 13 George Ebinger a Muncie merchant who lost 500 in Chicago says he will not identify swindlers or chase more deals. He doubts recovering his money and will not travel again. Ebinger runs a general store a saloon and owns substantial local property.
In Havre on February 13 Judge Henry ruled for the new electric lighting firm against the old company over poles and city lighting. Russell B. Harrison serves as president of the winning firm. The new company will finish its plant and begin lighting the city within days. Inerson reports stockholders of the Anderson Base Ball Association levied a 25 percent assessment totaling 5000 dollars to form a state league group including Muncie Marion Kokomo Fort Wayne Anderson and Lebanon as a host site for the league plans.
In Elwood a gas explosion wrecked the Elwood Fruit Co and C C Henze & Co building injuring Tebs and Graham and fatally injuring David Miller who was hurled across the street. Cause cited as gas under flooring ignited. loss estimated at 4500. Also reports a fatal shooting in Seeleyville and other court notes from Franklin.
