The Cunarder Umbria under Captain Dutton reported near quarantine after a brutal crossing from Liverpool. Miss Mary A Knodel daughter of Ernest F Knodel es elopes with Charlie B Keeler a broommaker. Objections arose from her family but the couple met by appointment and wed in the justices court in Indianapolis.
Terre Haute Feb 11 Madison Bryant the farmer who burned the license for his daughter's marriage to Perd Little withdrew his objections after a few days and sending for a clergyman the ceremony was performed in the presence of wedding guests
George A. Emerson prominent Indianapolis businessman, arrested on a grand jury capias for allegedly taking eighty desks and seventy cylinder tops from Emerson-Moore Desk Co. After receivership, he supervised operations by court order. Another indictment accuses him of stealing four desks valued at 60. Emerson posted bond 32000, claiming persecution as backmail.
