Community Leader Christian Riesenmay Dead at 46
Christian Riesenmay of the Fifth ward died Wednesday. Born in Switzerlaad he was survived by a wife and six children. Funeral services were held yesterday with Elders BR Nelson, Christian Larsen, N Sommer, John Q Adams and Bishop William Slyde speaking. The grave was dedicated by Elder Fred Gilgen. A note on recovery mentions Mrs Carl Fried improving after illness. In the same ward a meeting at the House for Elder H J Christiansen outlined plans for his Oct first mission to Scandinavia with opening hymns, remarks by Fr A Pederson, instrumental music by Harry Farr and Co, and various performances and a purse presentation by Samuel Holt.

Mormon Party Visits Nauvoo After Regional Tour
A 17 member Mormon party from Salt Lake City arrived yesternoon and stay to this afternoon. Included are John Henry Smith and wife, Alfred Cutler, H Dinwoudy and wife, Geo Romney and family, W W Riter and five children, John R Barnes and daughter. They attended the Transmississippi congress in St Paul. Mr Smith is an Apostles of the Church and nephew of Joseph Smith. They traveled from Chicago via Lake Michigan and Mackinac Island to Nauvoo to view sites and visit Carthage.
