Coray Opposition Sparks Debate at Convention Session
Coray of Juab moved to strike two paragraphs from Moses Thatcher's letter in the minutes arguing they were superfluous. President Smith ruled the motion out of order. Evans pressed a resolution to summon Coray for explanation, leading to a roll call vote largely along party lines. The convention adjourned after the tally, with Coray later promising an apology.
