British Week End Excitement Near Calais and Bruges

British Advance Gains as Germans Crumble Under Fire

From the south comes good news of a British advance as Canadian troops rest. At Richbourg Festubert the German redoubt collapsed under British artillery and infantry charges. British and Indian forces breached the lines, inflicted heavy damage with grenades, and captured hundreds of prisoners as German counterattacks failed.
