Descendants of Jacob and Sophie Birk gathered September 1 in the Moore State Bank Cendera Room for their annual reunion. Attendees included Tanto Meta Birk and Hilmar Keeses’ descendant Hitle Clarence Keene, with a noon catering by Inman Service and several desserts from attendees. A booklet honoring three monuments to great grandparents was presented, and plans were made to meet again next year at the same time and place.

Leslie C. Scott died Sunday at Grayson's Square Nursing Home in San Antonio. A former Llano resident, he was buried Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio. Survivors include wife Maggie two daughters Clete Warrach and Winnie Mae Bur cham four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The 18th amendment Prohibition was the only one to be repealed.
