Packsaddle HD Club Holds First Regular Meeting
The Packsaddle Home Demonstration Club met September 13 at Mrs. Clayton Stribling’s home with sixteen members and two visitors. Officers elected for the year were Gertrude Williams president Flora Jones vice president Lois Bruns secretary treasurer Mamie Gray reporter and Ruth Rayburn council delegate. Bobye Riney presented a program on Refreshments and Snacks with samples. Next meeting hosts will be Lottie Roberts and Edna Click on October 11.

Llano County Board Sets Oct 2 Election and Brush Control Focus
Llano County Soil Conservation board met on September 13 to plan the October 2 election at Lone Grove Community Center. Landowners Richard Hoersted Kathryn Sultemeier and Clay Osbourn are listed with acres. The meeting featured a barbecue at 6:30 p.m. and a film screening The Flat Top Ranch with Louis Amsler reporting.
