Llano Sees Floods Prompt Sheriff Change
Former Patrolman Sanderson Sheriff Bill Cooksey, once with the State Highway Patrol at Llano, now leads Sanderson after devastating floods swept the town early this month. The Henry Schorlemmer family planned a stop in Llano but pressed on. A 15-foot wall of water overwhelmed the town by morning. Corpus Christi’s Mr. and Mrs. James Chandler and their children visited Gus Schmidt last weekend, with the couple and kids also visiting Six Flags Over Texas while Mrs. Chandler stayed with her father.
