Llano County Soil Conservation District Updates
Llano County farmers revise conservation plats to shift to temporary summer resting pastures, aiding native grasses like sidecats grama and silver bluestem. Walter Franklin uses shredding to reduce whitebrush with less ground litter and erosion. Deferring a pasture after brush control and cross fencing plans aim to boost long term range vigor. Local residents include Sara Stephens and hospital visits in Dallas and Kerrville.
