Marshall Ford Dam Progress Report
The Marshall Ford Dam on the Colorado River in Texas is more than half finished. Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner John C. Page says construction is at a satisfactory rate and on schedule, with completion expected well within the contract period. The 190 foot high, 2200 foot long dam will hold about one million cubic yards of concrete, with an embankment and outlet works to regulate flow.

Marshall Ford Dam Nears Completion on Colorado River
Concrete work is half finished and 12 outlet conduits installed at Marshall Ford Dam. The project will provide a reservoir capacity of 177000 acre feet and flood control storage of 727000 acre feet on the Colorado River of Texas. Brown and Root and McKenzie Construction employ about 900 workers with two modern camps and commuting staff.
