Texans Urged to Valorize Home Granite Resources
An advocacy piece highlights Texas granite as an underused asset near San Antonio with deposits within 150 miles. It notes Texas Granite ships to New York, with last year’s consumption at 7,700 tons versus Missouri 16,000 and Oklahoma 45,000, while North Carolina leads with over three million tons. The item also details local visits by San Antonio trader Fred Jackson and other dealers, reporting positive activity in Llano, Weatherford, Burnet, and nearby blackland areas as they buy stone for plants and sales.
