Lilien Fowler's Waiting for Sunshine won a feature on the Art Association's parade float and first place in the organizational division. Grand prize in the exhibit went to Anchored by Lillian Fowler followed by On the Streets of Santa Fe by Pearl Geren in the professional division. Other winners include Robertson, Hallie B Stribling, M W Gunn, Keinda Cornelius, Helene Click, Howard Smith, Linda Sue Fowler, Joey Duncan, and Schorle Numer.
The final six week honor roll at 0 Henry Junior High includes nine pupils under Principal M A Montgomery. Names listed span sixth through eighth grades but are incomplete due to text cut off.
Mrs. Jack Burke of Houston plays 18 holes at Blue Lake Golf Club along with her son Jackie Burke Jr. and Eddie Burke who holds the course record. A two day member guest golf weekend is set for July 2-3 with a barbecue by Mr. Inman of Liano and a July 4 prize presentation by the Blue Lake Yacht Club and club members.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grace B. Fraser 75 of Buchanan Dam were held at Burnet Cemetery with the Burnet Chapter 425 of the Order of the Eastern Star officiating. A native of Illinois, she lived in Gary Indiana before retiring to Buchanan Dam two years ago. She died Tuesday in a Burnet clinic after a short illness. She is survived by her husband Wier C. Fraser. Pallbearers included Henry Evans Mark Feild Frank Gray Jack Burley S. C. Ward and Winfred Zumwalt.
Mr and Mrs Edgar James Moss and Coila and David Kennedy of Richardson attended the wedding of Miss J Ann Jordan and St Aubrey Kyle Lange at the First Methodist Church in Mason. Miss Moss was part of the house party.
Mrs Betty Grubbs of the Austin Social Security office is named field representative for Llano replacing Harry Lewin who will serve Gillespie Blanco counties and adjoining territory. Grubbs maintains an office with Mr and Mrs Freddy Hopson in College Station visiting Llano rodeo attendees including Mr and Mrs Chastes Hoffman and Mr and Mrs Adrian Hopson.

C. C. Bloss owner of the Flamingo Motel at Buchanan Dam is charged with assault with intent to commit murder and is free on a 2500 bond. The shooting occurred Saturday night. Cox was taken to a Burnet hospital then transferred to Austin and released.
