Buchanan Demo Club met at Mrs. Barry s home on May 23 with 13 members and two guests Mrs. Bridie Alexander and Mrs. Clair McQuilla. They voted to donate 10 to the Liano scholarship fund plan a rodeo exhibit and give money to First Union Church Sunday school for an easel. Mrs Fitzgerald led a program on wise buying. Mrs Tilghmon Hosts Greensboro Visitors En Route to Islands
Mr and Mrs Charles Braswell and their child from Greensboro North Carolina are visiting Mrs Esea Tilghman. The Braswells plan a short stay before Mr Braswell travels to White Sands New Mexico for a few days. The spouse and child will then join him for a trip to the Marshall Islands.
Pechaceks Plan Two Month European Tour
Mr and Mrs George Pechacek will leave Liano on Monday June 5 for a two month tour of Europe. They sail from New York on USS United States June 8 and visit Germany Sweden Norway Denmark and many other countries including Austria France Spain Italy and the British Isles before returning by boat around August 10.
