In Llano, Texas, Miss Nikki Dae Els daughter of Mr and Mrs LM Els married Terry Dean Decker son of Mr and Mrs Rube Decker on Saturday February 14 at the First Christian Church with Rev Lawrence Sellars officiating. The bride and groom are Llano High School graduates the groom from 1971 and employed by Exxon and the bride from 1975 with the couple residing at 504 East Young Street.
Mr and Mrs Raymond H Shafer announce the birth of a son Stacy Lynn on February 2 at Liano hospital welcomed by three brothers The mother Kathy Nelon is a former Mrs Raymond Shafer and the grandparents are Mr and Mrs Shafer and Mr and Mrs G D Reavis among others with several great grandparents named.
Kingsland Highland Lakes Chapter No. 801 of the American Legion Auxiliary met February 17 at the American Legion Hall. About 75 members heard Myron Fletz discuss Llano County ambulance service, with Rev. Theron Browne giving the invocation.
Fourteen Alpha Delta Zeta members met at Mrs. Pat McPhersons home on February 16 to approve the yearly Beta Sigma Phi Endowment Fund donation supporting Girlstown USA Cancer Research and other causes. The group also discussed the BSP state convention in Houston June 18 20 and enjoyed a macrame demonstration by Melanie McKinney with refreshments by the hostess.
Mrs Moss was honored with a Sunday party in the Cendera Room at Moore State Bank for her 90th birthday. Hosts included her children Dr and Mrs John Bohmfalk of San Antonio and Mr and Mrs Charles Moss of Llano. About 175 guests attended including out-of-town relatives from Dallas, San Antonio, San Angelo, Kerrville, Weatherford and Port Arthur.
