Heritage talk guides Llano sorority group on county roots
Mrs. Clyde L. King told Epsilon Sigma Alpha members last Thursday that heritage links a community to its people calling for preservation of records and a shared history. She listed local sites from Llano landmarks to rural homesteads and proposed a bluebonnet themed Llano County festival in the future. H D Ladies Plan Training Meetings Across Weeks
Llano County Home Demonstration Council announced three training meetings to occur in coming weeks. Food and nutrition training is planned for Feb 26, civil defense on Feb 25, clothing consumer training on Mar 14, with refreshments provided by home demonstration clubs and drinks by the council. A food leaders training is set for Feb 17 at 2 p.m. in the library building. District 7 meeting scheduled for Apr 13 in Coleman. Planning session held in San Saba to arrange that district gathering. Mrs John Allen Wright of San Saba, formerly Joanna Gray, enrolled at Howard Payne College Brownwood. Mr Wright works for the Soil Conservation Service in San Saba. Mrs Cunningham Honors Mothers at Informal Coffee
Mrs Hal Cunningham hosted an informal coffee for the mothers of her 26 fourth grade students at her home last Saturday afternoon. Principal George Pechacek attended with other guests. A valentine motif dominated decorations with red linen, white carnations, red valentines, and silver appointments.
